New England Patriots, cheaters?
Apparently during the Jets vs. Patriots game yesterday, a game in which the Patriots dismantled the Jets, a Patriot employee was removed from the field.
He was videotaping the Jets playcalling. The tape was taken and sent to league officials for evaluation. There's also allegations of tampering with frequencies, possibly to listen to playcalling. A league official, who remained nameless, was quoted as saying; "This isn't the first time" refering to the Patriots. Also, Bob Harlan, president of YOUR FIRST PLACE GREEN BAY PACKERS!! ![]() If the Patriots are found "guilty" they could potentialy lose multiple draft picks. Personally, if this does turn out to be true, I have to say it certainly does tarnish their reputation as the "class of the league".

Is this the first time they've been accused of this sort of thing? I don't think it is. I've found almost all their major playoff victories come with some controversy.

Am I the only one who thinks video taping in a public location is OK? If I have no expectation of privacy in public, as per the Supreme Court, why should a business (which is what these teams are)? Or to put it another way, if the cops can video tape me in a given location then I should be able to tape… whoever.
Or do businesses have a higher level of legal protection than citizens? |
