Daft Punk: "Get Lucky"
Couldn't find a music sub forum... but here's a new teaser for Daft Punk's new album, Random Access Memories.
I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely stoked for this release. |

I loved the first teaser, without vocals...
I'm not really a fan when they have "singing involved." The auto-voice stuff I love in moderation like one more time or harder better faster stronger. Still stoked they're making new stuff A song with just some groove and this would be my preference |

I loved the Tron album. It was very movie background music-ish, but there were a lot of good tracks. I already pre-ordered the new album on iTunes. Can't wait!

For me, this is the most exciting release to come out of dance music in years. I'm a house music DJ (real house music aka Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, MAW, etc) and have been disappointed by the state of dance music (not to be confused with EDM which is a corporate brand). Too much Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Swedish crap. Not enough music with soul and funk. Daft Punk have always been taking the basis for dance music (disco) and putting their own spin on it. While mainstream producers try to sound futuristic, Daft Punk goes the opposite way. A good friend of mine is in a band that makes electronic music and his take on the new Daft Punk: "Those f**king guys show up and make everyone feel like talentless hacks".
Plus Nile Rodgers is a legend. |
