I would say 135i or the new A3/S3 sedan and MB CLA. Most other "small" luxury-like cars have become quite bloated in recent years (I'm looking at you, 3er).

I don't think you're going to beat the Goodwood MINI if you're just looking for material quality. The Fiat 500 Gucci is mostly cosmetic, I don't think the materials are any nicer.

Lol at anyone saying BMW. The interiors are garbage for the ones you'd be looking at. An IS250/350's interior was miles ahead of the E90 I had. Seats felt great, ride was great, hell everything in there was great. Wasn't too bad to drive either.

I think the U.S. is the only place where an IS might be considered a small car. The CT200h is the small car in their lineup.

Also don't think I would consider it small, but the VW CC has the nicest interior by far at it's price point.

Did you ever opened one to see where the real luxury is? Lexus is miles behind and garbage from the technical point of view. And it drives like a trash can too.

Again, this thread is talking about luxury. Plus I wouldn't call a car with mutli-link rear suspension "garbage" when comparing to BMW's stone age trailing arms. And the IS350 I had to drive for a few days was just fine to drive since I was using it for what just about every person in that market uses it for - work and groceries.

And don't try and bring up how S-Class/ 7 series is more "sporty" because when you are driving an executive luxury car, who the hell wants it to be that sporty when its so heavy. BMW fanboy post at its finest. |

Why can't someone bring up that BMW and MB are more sporty? I see AMG and Alpina models quite frequently and power is synonymous with luxury. There is a reason why Rolls Royce and Beltley use massively powerful motors in their luxury cars. You named two innovations and suddenly Lexus is the king of luxury? I've never owned the same car brand twice out of 10 cars so I'm hardly a fanboy, just calling them as I see them.

I love how all of the posters here are stumped by this question. It says 'small car', not cheap car.
Here are my contestants 1.) any Spyker product 2.) Pagani Zonda/ Huayra 3.) Bugatti Veyron 4.) Audi R8/ Gallardo </end thread>

I found the Veyron to be significantly smaller in person than it appears in 2D. Gallardo is also not a huge car. Never been blessed enough to see a Pagani in the flesh.
