Totally, but having a Northrop engineer as a father kept me fascinated with aircraft. So I have been equally intrigued with the exploits of adventurer Steve Fossett, the guy who has been setting world records in balloons, airplanes, sailboats, etc. After trying six times, he finally succeeded in becoming the first person to fly solo around the world in a balloon.

He piloted the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer aircraft to break the longest distance flight record non-stop without refueling.

Now he has been reported missing since yesterday after his single-engine airplane with enough fuel for 4-5 hours of flight failed to return. He is originally from Garden Grove, California.
