JAGUAR XJR Revealed !!!
This is what we get when the super luxurious XJ gets the "R" badge;
Revealed @ the NY Show Jaguar is beefing up its R performance lineup with the 2014 XJR. The above single image of the car appears to show some trim and badging changes. The company describes the XJR as an "extraordinarily opulent machine with more than expected levels of interior luxury." It said the car's steering suspension and braking enhancements have been tested at the company's Nurburgring Test Center. "The Jaguar XJR is a British performance machine that delivers emotionally and dynamically on the road and on the track," said Andy Goss, president of Jaguar Land Rover North America, in a statement on Wednesday. Supercharged 5.0-litre V8, putting out 542bhp. The XJR could be the fastest car in the range, thanks to its lightweight aluminium chassis. At 1765kg, the current range-topper (the 503bhp XJ Supersport) is 20kg lighter than an XKR-S coupe - and it's expected the XJR will stay very close to the XJ SS's kerbweight. 0-62mph in 4 secs Top speed is likely to be limited to 155mph Source : http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Se...cial-pictures/

The front bottom air traps should have been bigger... but looks insane nonetheless. I rarely see any Jags around here. If I had the money, I would buy that. It turns heads around!

I drove the SS in a big XJ convoy for a Jag promo and that was a hell of a thing. I can't imagine how great this is going to be.

The German manufacturers typically post conservative 0-60 claims. That 3.5s sprint from an independent tester probably includes a 1-foot rollout as well.

The XJR is having the same engine present in the XFR-S ;
XFR-S does the 0-100 sprint in 4.4 secs. The interesting thing is that the XFR-S weighs about 1987 kgs & the larger XJ R weighs 1870 Kgs (XJ Super Sport weight taken for reference) So the 0-100 timing of about 4 secs is quite achievable. * Weights as per Jaguar website Also note the weight of an F10 M5 is 1945 kgs
