Monaco Blue???
Why does BMW call their blue "Monaco Blue"? Dont' they realize the Monaco color is red and white???
Is this another stupid marketing gimmick like selling New York Cheese cake in California, or selling Californai pizza in New York?!?

I have always seen Monaco Blue as "blue". It's just a shade of blue. Tag watches also has a monaco blue line.

There are also jeans and Men's club fleece that also use the shade of Monaco Blue, so it just isn't something BMW came up with.

That's it, I am taking this to the Consumer Council for mis-representation. May be I can get real Titanium back for my car.

As for Royal Blue, here is the excerpt from Wiki: "Traditionally, dictionaries define royal blue as a deep to strong blue, often with a purple or faint reddish tinge. In religion, royal blue is the color of royalty to welcome the coming of a king. In Christian art, royal blue can also symbolize the night sky in which the star appeared to the wise men to announce the birth of Jesus." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_blue Quote:
