Whats to worry? The paint is made with lead and all the magnets will fall out and can be fatal if swallowed. It will never sell.

We must not laugh, this is a serious matter. Put your money where your mouth is and stop buying all the shit that comes out of China. Buy local even if you must pay more.

I thnk BMW is concern about losing market shares in China. These questionable vehicles would never be able to get pass our ports.

Uhhh... we used to laugh at the Japanese (Toyota, Honda, Nissan) and Korean (Hyundai, Kia) manufacturers. Look at where they are now (almost up to our BMW a$$).

Do the Chinese buy their own crap? Doubtful, they just send it elsewhere. Even they know theres no substitute for a real BMW.

Absolutely!!! In fact, CCTV (communist sponsored TV station) always exposes dangerous Chinese products from anything in whitened-rice noodles, re-use vegetable oil, card-board dumplings (yes, it's real), color & sugar-injected fruits, color-injected fake soy sauce, the list goes on-and-on...

In fact, most of these "fake" and dangerous products are sold initially in China. The toys and pet food calamity we are experience may only the beginning if QC is not tighten.

Apples and Oranges. The Japaneser automakers offered something new and refreshing when they first started. They were also being bullied by the US automakers and needed to offer something better. After they gained the market they then became just as bad as the automakers they tried to be better than. A current Japenese vehicle is not built like before due to the simple fact they dont have to compete as much.

Here we have the chinese who are not offering better cars instead they are offering crap from the start. And copied crap at that.

Are you serious? I saw a lot of VWs and Audis when I was there a few years ago.

Unless GM magically replaces all those Chinese made VWs and Audis...

Obviously never been in China -- they are all over there.
And you can't see many X5s over there, so...yes, they are maybe (most likely not) loosing some market over there.

I don't think they need to export those to be successful...

four hottest cars in China ("imports"): Audis (A6 mainly), VW (passats and fox), Buicks (Shanghai) and in Beijing (Elantras -- Cabs).

All of the first three are made in China's factories and have -- old shape to them and old engines and tranny (example 1.8T VW/Audi vs. 2.0T)

Also, the 5 series are also being made over there and only in the "L" version (so you can put 30 chinese in there)
