Pay Pal Question please help a rookie. Lol
This will sound stupid to some of you guys that have done this a 1000x
If I'm buying product from someone on here for my M3 an they send me a invoice via PayPal an I pay the $ wit my credit card how do I know this other person will send product???? Should the PayPal invoice describe what I'm getting an when an how being shipped. Sorry but it's over a $1000.00 an I don't wanna get ripped. I know wen I order parts from the States for my Harley it's from a BUISNESS an invoice describes everything an it's not from someone personal. Thanks for the help Bimmer Bros. |

Up to you. Depends on the vendor. Just contact them and ask them to send a new invoice with the description of the items you're buying. In addition, Paypal offers buyer protection for transactions. You also have your credit card company to fall back on in case there are issues.

Like I stated to you, look at feedback from person you are buying from, make sure it is spelled out correctly in the details on PayPal and if not don't send money until you are happy and don't use PayPal gift option! You are protected through multiple avenues and PayPal wouldn't be in business if the process didn't work.

Why don't you give the name of the dealer ... if you do others here may have purchased from the same dealer and can tell you more.
Good Luck What are you ordering? Perhaps for a few more dollars you can get the same from your BMW dealer or a dealer like IND etc. There are many dealer representatives Members here why not try them for what you need. If they don't have it then they may refer you to a dealership/vendor you can trust.

Private sales happen everyday, all the time. As long as they have good references/feedback, you should be fine. Like I said, Paypal covers you in most cases and you always have your cc to fall back on. Just do your homework.

1. Ask appropriate questions: mileage, 1/2/3 owner, any damage or repairs, any warranties if applicable.
2. Evaluate iTrader feedback 3. Insist on good, high res., detailed pictures and any images of prior damage. 4. Have a conversation about shipping, primarily packing and insurance. Make sure item its fully insured including shipping costs. I have been shocked by the lack of care shown by some sellers when going to pack a +1k item. 5. Pay with CC 6. Do not gift (agree on who coves ~3.3% fees ahead of time) 7. Indicate what the transaction is for, shipping terms, and expected condition in payment detail instead of "You've got money!" * not required but I always do this because it's indicative of expected condition and purchase terms should a dispute occur. Its helped in the past! 8. Enjoy |

I just always put a few sentences in the desciption/details such as :
I have sent $xxxxxxx + 3% for fees. This money is for the purchase of E90 M3 Muffler Delete Pipes shipped to my door. The pipes are used but in excellent condition with zero fitment issues on a stock E90 M3. No rust or cracks. If any of these conditions are not valid, return of this payment is required.
