Admission: 7 euros Boxenstop Auto- und Spielzeugmuseum... Well…. I have been meaning to go to this small museum for quite some time. Everyone always told me how nice it is. And it is/was!! Finally last weekend I was in the Stuttgart area and decided that I must go for a visit! A fellow 1Addict Bob (Smellthebeans) and I went on this adventure to visit the Boxenstop Museum. Tübingen is less than an hour’s drive away from say the Porsche or MB Museum or downtown Stuttgart. I would highly recommend visiting any of the above auto museums. Trains, cars, ships, airplanes, steam engines, dolls, toys... the Boxenstop Auto- und Spielzeugmuseum. Had it ALL! You will feel like a little kid again. This place was really quite small but in every corner of the room, there was something enchanting and interesting to look at. I love places like this and its no wonder why there were so many people visiting this special museum. On the Sunday Bob and I visited the museum(in the winter months the Museum is only open on Sundays and Holidays)… they were having a special steam machine day exhibit. Everyone brought their old steam power toys and train sets to come play with! How cool is that!! There was even a guy with an RC steam powered farm tractor and a real life coal powered steam train/trolley Strassenbahn to give small kids free rides in! To me this museum looked to be made from Love of cars and toys and all that makes us little boys(and girls)! It looked like your average German row haus... but I think over time the place out grew itself! Upstairs they even had a small restaurant that served up some nice coffee and cake in typical German fashion. Heck even the bathroom had some "stuff" crammed in it! When Bob and I went back to the car garage were we parked… we stumbled upon a MB test car (new S class)in camouflage. I always seem to be lucky in finding these guys! Well… even the automotive test guys love cars and toys… and we all seem to be drawn to these types of museums. So it is not unusual to find like minded people. The day before while I was over at the Porsche Museum, I also saw/photographed another MB test car(e-class I think?). Enjoy my pics Dackel videos...

Interesting place, but that's the saddest looking Christmas tree I've ever seen.
