I'm driving down from Vancouver, BC to San Francisco next week. Planning on heading down with my family for about a week or so. Unfortunately not taking my E90...driving the Lexus RX instead.

However, I will be going down Hwy 101/Hwy 1 for most of Oregon and California. Any suggestions of places to go see and check out? I drove the route about five years ago...so my memory of places is sorta foggy.

In particular, I'm interested in what you guys suggest going to see in Portland and in the Bay area...all suggestions welcome.

so you're actually stopping in the bay area??
better go to the california section and you'll definitely get plenty of places to see

Yeah I will be in San Francisco for about four days or so. Kinda stuck doing touristy things with the family...which means no ducking off to meet up with NorCal E90post.com guys...sigh.

I was going to post in the regional forums...but thought I'd give it a try here first...

but nxt time
there are a lotta touristy family stuff you could do
lotta shopping
i'm not that big on the city, more of a surburbia kinda guy
so just ask couple of the guys in the norcal section
