C&D estimate 1/4 mile time for 2013 Range Rover ...
Caranddriver were always optimistic about their 0-60 and 1/4 mile times but this has got to be the most ridiculous estimate ever. I didn't know that reducing 700-926 pounds of a 5800+ pounds car would make it so fast......And check out the 11.9 1/4 mile estimate Here's a link to what I read. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ds-best-page-2 Quote:

Possible. My Lightning weighs 4910lbs and when is was making 500whp I was running mid 11's.

I think you guys are the only ones who understand my sarcasm.....I genuinely believe C&D made a typo. 4.4 sec for 0-60mph and 11.9 in the 1/4mile....so that means RR is a rear wheel drive struggling with traction, but when it does....its a monster? Quote:
Dude, you must have had a monster truck but I'm pretty sure your Lightning must be making 600hp in reality because 500hp isnt enough to move 5000pounds to 11.9 seconds in the 1/4mile.

Yeah, 0-60 in 4.4 seconds doing an 11.9? No, not going to happen. C&D does the 1 foot rollout thing with their 0-60 numbers. My car does 0-60 in 3.7-3.8 seconds with the 1 foot rollout (VBOX verified a gazillion times at the strip) and I barely barely crack into the 11s. My car is only 3500-3600 pounds depending on fuel load and I'm about 450-460hp at the crank.

The only Range-Rover I considered getting was designed by BMW. Even the evoque or epoque is goofy lookin and it's too small.

Basically full exhaust and 200 pound diet but FULL interior.
PPE headers (no cats 1 pound or two lighter) Borla catback (no cats and 10 pounds lighter) VOLK RE30s (40 pounds lighter) Lithium battery pack (40 pounds lighter) 2 piece RB Racing rotors (20 pounds lighter) No spare and jack and tools (50 pounds lighter) BR racing coilovers with Swift springs(10 pounds lighter) Planned mod: clutch type LSD and front buckets. I'll probably be a 3400 pound 11.8@122 car and since there are no other power adders besides NOS, it'll just be a very reliable road racing car/DD for me for a few more years. I know this is a BMW site so I don't usually talk about my cars, but thanks for asking and glad to share the info. You could probably just google me and I'll pop up. You can look me up on dragtimes too for the slips. |
