Test drove one new in '98 when thinking of selling our '95 300ZX. It didn't do it for me, was pretty damn quick though. I was all of 18 at the time lol.

Because people love certain cars. V6 all-wheel drive twin turbo.

One of 287 that ever made it to the states. That's why. More rare than the BMW 1M. Not the same kind of car, but to a 3000GT enthusiast, it is.

I don't know, with the exception of the NSX I guess I just don't agree that they are of any real value. They were 25-40k dollar cars at the time.

Too bad aftermarket support even then wasn't that great. One of the three kings IMO (the others being the Supra and the NSX)

I'm guessing you see the E30 M3's as a POS and not worth ~$15k-$25k either right? Why is this a 1989 old M3 worth $15k today? Because of enthusiasts. |

Absolutely FALSE. VR-4 have very strong resale value and I wouldn't be surprised if he got what he was asking.

I remember lusting after that car. They were really quick for the time period. What's odd is the car has seemingly been in a time capsule but I don't remember that particular rear wing as standard equipment. I remember a more subtle wing but I could be wrong.

I don't recall that as a factory wing option either in the states. We had two options. They did have a higher spoiler, but it was kinda rounded over the back. Similar to the 2nd Gen Eclipse wing.

That spoiler was a standard for the last year of production on the VR4 if I remember properly. I know it is the standard one because I remember looking at it years ago because it was so unique.

There are still lots of 3000GT fants out there. The car never did it for me looks wise, but much of the technology on that car is still high end today. Would I pay that money for that car? No, I'd much rather have many other cars, but to some enthusiasts that thing at that mileage would be their holy grail.
That said, he'll be waiting a while for a buyer.

FYI, the Dodge Stealth was your cheaper alternative. I do mean cheaper.
