Ya know, I'm going to disagree there. The Pontiac Aztek has a pretty solid rep as being useful and enjoyable. It's the ugliest car in the world, but not the worst.

For worst in history, I'd look for a diesel Chevette.

I have always liked those old Lada's. I never have driven one though. Couldn't imagine waiting seven years for one either! lol And we all think waiting a few months for a BMW is rough!

It's a serious kick butt little 4WD and will get you into places most others would struggle, it also comes with an awesome heater.

The Lada Niva is not bad at all!! My family had one the same time we had a Land Rover Defender 90. It can do almost as much off road than the Defender but much cheaper.
I also had a PolskiFiat 650 THE worst car ever. Even worst than the Trabant. It had a 2 cylinder 650cc engine 24 Bhp drum brakes at all corner, rear engine by the way. Could do 50mph that's it.

I don't blame them for picking the Lexus SC430. It is terrible.

The Aztek is certainly ugly, but if you can live with the neutering styling, it is somewhat practical.

The Niva is actually a pretty solid performer. Its indestructible and unstoppable.

I'd vote for the Ami 6 on my side. Uglier than the Aztek, severely underpowered, and weird controls that make it puzzling to drive.

The worst car in the history of the UNIVERSE is clearly the second generation, aka "New" Volkswagen Beetle. May they all spontaneously explode and die fiery deaths. Today.

Just googled and found out that you saw this car at the Louwman Museum.

Mind sharing your photos? I have not been there.
