I'm 26, I test drive the F30 but I don't like it...

It's so bumpy and noisy for me, yes it has the power and sportiness but I think I am going the F10 instead.

I don't know why but my age group should be buying the F30....right?

I feel like I am so old now and I will never have the urge to own a sport car ever again.

I didn't realize that based upon a person's age that they are regulated to a specific car. Get whatever the hell you like and feel comfortable in.

Not a matter of age, its a matter of what you are used to.
I also wanted to buy the F30 first but then I got a really interesting opportunity on the F10 and did not regret it one minute.
I m 2 years older and I drive a loaded F10 as daily - the car is just perfect. The problem is I dont know what I could buy next *lol* The car is just to perfect. Maybe an F13 or next gen X5. Before I changed nearly every 6 months (mostly sporty cars, M3s, 350Z, Evo, STi etc.) but now I just dont feel the need to change.
I also have a lot of fun driving the Z06 on the weekend, but I admit that I can not imagine living with it as daily driver.
I would rather give it away than my F10. Maybe the new gen M3 / M4 will get me... we'll see.

yeah me too thinks that relating a car with someones age and mentioning a specified car for some one according to the age i think that's the thing that it can be plugged in any country sydney limousine | limo services | sydney limousine service i mean you could all see that in Arab countries where even the children who can't even reach the dash board of the ride drive's the Land cruisers with extreme dangerous driving...

If you want a much softer ride and don't want to spend 5 series money, then the C-Class is your car. I hear the Audi A4 is a little softer than the F30 too but not as much as the c-class.

Comfort is not to be taken lightly. The nicest driving car I ever owned was my 2001 E38 (740iL). I loved driving that car and it made me smile every time I parked it and looked back while walking away. I heard two much younger guys talking in a bar one night about the awesome bimmer sitting out front and then realized they were talking about my E38. Style and comfort couldn't overcome the maintenance nightmares, though. If I made it through a month without a repair bill I felt blessed.

I still think about going back to a 7-Series. If you like the way the F10 drives, you'll love the F01.

You're spoiled. Try driving a Dodge Intrepid.

I'm 48 and just had my F30 Sport with 18" rims delivered and it's almost perfect (well, no radiotext on the professional GPS is a very very big shame!!!)

That's interesting. My wife and I drove the F30 and we both thought it was way too soft and boring. Wife says it drives like an Audi, and it wasn't a compliment.

Oh well, to each his own...

f30 msport 335 is a great option. Unless you want a big luxury boat, if so then the F10 is a great choice.

You are 100% correct. At age 26, you are too old for a sports car, any sports car. Actually, you may well be too old for anything other than a 4door Mercury Marquis, or some god forsaken Buick. It is good to see someone that has embraced their age and has finally, "grown up"!

At age 63 I recently bought a Z4. It has the "sport" package, and a 6 speed manual, 3.0i. Since age 26 I have owned a Porsche Super 90 (356), Triumph Spitfire, Corvette, Miata, as well as 9 BMW motorcycles, and countless other bikes.

Sadly, for me, I have never been able to embrace my age, nor have I ever grown up. Because I don't have the insight you have, I have had to suffer through life with these types of vehicles.

You are a lucky man.

I'm 26 too...

I was originally considering the F10. It's a wonderful car and has a lot of nice touches that the F30 simply doesn't have and can't have.

The only issue I had was that the N55 felt weak in the 535i, and the 550i V8 guzzles gas like nobody's business. (Okay, and the $10k price difference didn't help either).

without reading anyone else's response to your thread...
and solely based on your question:

here is my point of view.

1) i find it weird that for your age (26), you should be still very young at heart... and being from HK, i suppose you are asian, which means you would look physically young too. >>> SO why the heck F10 ??! it's a tad too much of a car for you for your age...

2) And yes based on your age, the F30 should be a perfect fit for you.

3) What's even more weirder: i find it strange that you are saying the F30 is noisy and bumpy for your taste: Being young, you should enjoy that!
Are you really getting older than your age ?? you must be really mature before your age? Or do you have a family? kids? that could explain why?
or do you generally like to listen to classical music ?

4) Of all the BMW 3 series that has ever existed, the F30 is very comfort, isolated, and NOT bumpy at all, i would even call it an annoying flying carpet.
BUT if you compare it to the F10, of course it would be more noisy and bumpy... the 3 is just more fun and dynamic than the 5.

and therefore you should not complain that the 3 is less comfortable than the 5... it is supposed to be in that order...

if you prefer more coziness, choose the 5, but dont blame it that the 3 isn't more comfortable for you... because i can tell you that the 3 is too comfortable for me... i wish it could have a tad harsher more dynamic ride...

full disclosure:
I know that anyone at any age can own any car they want...
there aren't any specific car tied to any specific gender or age...
But there are patterns out there where there is a majority of a particular gender and age who drive a specific type of car...

Having said that:
F30 should be for the younger crowd
F10 should be for the more mature/settled down population

But one does not prevent the other...

Just choose the car that you like best... who cares what other people says...

As for you very last sentence: clearly yes you are getting old before your age.

...unless you are just a troll, finding excuses and pretend that you deserve a nicer more expensive car to spoil your needy ego.

I don't like the 3 series as its missing a lot of the luxury options and "feel" as well as power options.

I'm 26 and I have an F10 550i.
I've modded it (coilovers, 21" wheels, downpipes.... more coming soon).
Its a nice size, comfort, sporty, luxury, options... I'll never do a 3-series again except for like a race car (which is what I just bought a 2008 335i to do).

I also have a Ferrari 458 though so....

Because you are in the wrong age group for the car. 3 series = 16-21, M3 = 22-25, 26-30 is 5 series, or you can skip straight to M5
