A healthy correction, but the market has been volatile lately, it will shoot back up, if not today then Monday. The stocks I were were WAY up yesterday and day before(due to great earnings), so this correction didn't effect me too much.

I just do not watch. I would need an IV of liquid valium hooked to me 24/7.

Sell sell sell and quickly so I can pick up your devalued shares and sell them back to you once they've turned upwards again.

I personally know a lot of people who were trying to catch the "falling daggers" in the last bubble...

It didn't end too well.

you still have to pick good stocks.... but a downturn is a great time to buy quality stocks for a discount

if you buy a crap stock, it doesn't matter when you buy it or how much you pay it'll be a raw deal. Proper research is key

Yep, I just loaded up on a few other stocks, i was wanting to pick up.
I bought most of my stocks 1 year ago, when they were down a lot, all of them are much higher now than they were last year, most 2x, some more than 3x their value. So this little snag doesn't mean much, but a correction is always healthy.

If you fear a stock is going down, you can still make lots of money through shorts.

But let's not look at Dow then... Why was Dow "bubbled" then, but not now? The economy (and the world) was much stabler then

We are gonna see a bear market pretty soon. Before that, watch for a "dead cat bounce."
  • The VIX has passed its $16 mark at which peaks occur.
  • RSI/Stochastics aren't oversold yet.
  • Small-caps began their decline before the Dow hit 14k.
  • Call/Put volume is unusually high.

Want a suggestion? Buy puts on financials, homebuilders, and REITs on every short-term rally.
