I Got Pulled Over This Morning...
but thankfully my PBA card got me out of trouble. I thought I got pulled over for not having a front license plate but it turned out that I got tagged for doing 39 in a 25 (c’mon!). I pulled out my PBA card with my license and registration and all I got was a warning.
But here’s the thing that I’ve never had done before…he actually gave me back my PBA card. I’ve used PBA cards before and the officer would just keep the card and give me the warning. But this officer gave the card back to me. Would I be able to use the card again should I ever get stopped again? |

Police Benevolent Association My brother is police officer (CHP)and frowns down at people who use those cards, to get out of stuff. He's a stickler tho he'd probably give his own sister a ticket |

14 mph over the speed limit and you say "c'mon" That is over 50% faster then the speed limit. Anyway hopefully you will slow down.

I was on a residential road and people drive 55 mph on it. It still doesn’t give me the right though but if you really think about it…39 mph is not that fast at all. And I’ve driven that fast with cops passing me by. Is the card that I used still valid though if I get stopped again?
By the way, I found the Philippine Basketball Association card hilarious! |

of course you can use the pbs card again. Its not like it has a barcode that he already scanned.
They work well unless you're doing something completely extraordinary...

That sounds great! I know it was probably a stupid question to ask but this officer was the first one to ever give me back the card.
I can't wait to get pulled over again!!!!! NOT! |

Don't hate.
NJ police take care of their own. Those cards can't be brought. You can only get them for law enforcement officers.

the problem with those courtesy cards is that the cop will either let you go because of them or throw the maximum charges at you depending on how he feels about those cards. some, as someone posted earlier, get angry that you think you have a get out of jail free card...
I have a PBA card and was pulled over recently for 75 in a 55. I showed him my PBA card and the guy goes "that means nothing to me" and guess what the ticket was for..75 in a 55...no leniency whatsoever. After that I decided not to use the card again. It'll either piss off a cop or help you out...but honestly just being apologetic and polite will usually get you out of a ticket or at least get the violation reduced. |

That a bit much.
5-10 miles over is one thing but 20 over you just did not care are police getting you and that would get you a ticket and your card taken.
