Samsung Galaxy S3 Battery Life
Hi guys, so I bought my s3 yesterday, charged it that night to full. I woke up 6 in the morning used it for like 20 mins, browsing internet and it dropped to like 94%. It was like 7:30 and it dropped to low 80s on standby. 10 o clock its dropped to 65% and at 12:30 it was in the low 40s all on standby. I just wanted to know if this was a normal thing. Are all androids like this? Should i return it and get another android or an iphone? Or is it because its a brand new phone and it needs time? Idk suggestions would be nice

Nope. Not normal one bit. I found myself not charging my S3 for almost two days before. See if you have a lot of Apps running and maybe DL Juice Defender.

Biggest suggestion is:
Make sure the screen isnt on full brightness. Make sure you put it to sleep before putting it into your pocket. Make sure other running processes get completely closed. I check the task manager on my GS2 often to make sure things don't continue to run in the back ground. I've noticed some days I get more life out of it than others with similar usage amounts, which leads me to think that it may sometimes have to do with backdoor updates or information sent that drains it more at times. On my GS2, I can go 2 days sometimes. Though at others I've had it need a charge at night after 1 day. I also am not a heavy phone user. I'll check it a few times a day and maybe make 1-5 calls.

Let the battery die <10% power the phone OFF, charge ALL the way up to 100%. Did the trick with mine. Maybe run a task manager in the background to shut apps down every hour or so. S3 is a great phone
