I Just Got Home From Watching Transformers . . . .
and ohh man, AWESOME MOVIE!!! The chick (Megan Fox) is hot, the cars are hot, the action is hot.
IDK why they're showing them early here on Guam, (It's July 2nd, Monday night here) I went in the theatres expecting to watch Live Free or Die Hard but then I saw a not so long line and saw Transformers in the Box office. I cant help but notice the BMW bashing in the movie. I mean, a lot of different cars were wrecked and thrown around but very noticeable was the older model 740 that got trashed and an older model 3 series ran over by a tank. Maybe it's the very distinctive kidney grills. Also, if this movie does not boost sales for the GM cars line up, then nothing else will IMO. |

I think that's the one grip I don't like about the movie. Why the FCUK did they use all American Cars? The original Transformers weren't all American cars:
Bumblebee = Volkswagon Beetle Jazz = Martini Porsche 935 Turbo And both Ratchet and Ironhide were Dogde Caravans! Another thing...I saw a Chevy commercial in where Optimus Prime falls on top of a Chevy Cobalt during a fight. The driver starts screaming at Prime and I hear Prime go "My Bad"! WHAT THE FCUK!?!?!? I still want to see the movie though. |

Many of the automobile manufactors would not grant rights to the movie. The based it on the fact that the story line is focus around war and conflict.
I suppose VW is still trying to get away from that whole WWII/Hilter thing.

It may not be very cool but atleast it would have been accurate to the original series. I would prefer that over a cheesy hill billy camaro. I'm waiting to see the real owner step forward with his mullet for all to see.

sounds more like gm won the bid for product placement in the movie.
anyway, i'm not very optimistic about this movie, but since i loved transformers as a kid and the reviews here seem to be positive, i'll give it a shot.

GM Paid a shit ton of money... That's how. It's all about product placement.
