Wow, insane, and it's a convertible (nothing against them though). That's an M5 or E55 territory price wise.

The UK reviews I've seen say that the convertible has nothing on the sedan. Much heavier, poorer ride, and, as noted above, seriously overpriced. I actually love convertibles, but to me they only work if you can have a comfortable low-speed ride for cruising around (i.e. refinement is more of a priority than the kind of high-revving drama you get in the RS4, M6 or M3).

But it's a V8. When the M3 convertible comes out I expect the price will be in the same range.

The only cheap convertible V8 is a Mustang or a Vette.

I dont know who does pricing at Audi but they are getting crazy.
The A5 is at the same price point as the 335i the only prob is that its down on power to the 335i to get the same power in a Audi u have to move into S5 price range and then you are about 8k above the 335i i dont know how they plan to compete.

These cars are going to be seriously exclusive.... we are talking no more than 300. That is why the price is so high....you will be lucky to see one in your lifetime. Also, I anticipate the e93 M3 to be around 75k with options....so its really not that far off. Cars are getting damn expensive these days...

What the hell is Audi thinking?

So expensive, and it doesn't even have a hard top?

All that for a car that will be replaced in 2 years with a new Cab if you believe the rumours.

That's a copious amount of cash. But as many have said here, you're paying for exclusivity as just 300 are going to find themselves stateside. I believe the E93 M3 will see 70s loaded, definitely not 83k base price (albeit, the RS4 apparently comes pre-loaded)...

When all is said and done, I probably wouldn't purchase one. There are just too many cars in that price range to drop on that vehicle...
