Extended Warranty

Always wanted a 7 series, and going to be buying a 2008 750Li which has about 61K miles tonight from a dealership - The extended warranty prices are insanly high, but regardless need to get one to be on the safe side. Is there really a big difference between the Gold, Gold Plus & Platinum coverages? They are abou $2k - $4k part from each other for the Fidelity Warranty Services. What would you guys recommend?

IMO Platinum is a waste of money. It only covers radio/cd, navigation, and entertaiment systems over the other packages

Extended Warranty

So you would recommend sticking to the Gold Plus? I have heard that the 7 tends to have more electrical problems than any other bmw, but of course taking into mind it has the most amount of modules I beleive causes that.

Do you still have the option to purchase extended "factory" warranty? I just purchased a used 2011 X5 and was given this option. I was offered the standard extended "limited" warranty and extended "factory" warranty. The extended "factory" warranty is exactly like the original factory warranty coverage, so Navi and electronics are also covered.

Of course, you can negotiate on warranty price, but not much.
