got a loaner -- 750Li

Hey

The car roled on the dealership while they were parking it and hit a brand new 5series. the damage isn't extensive but they will replace the rear bumper and paint it.
However, they were kind enough (without request) to lend a brand new 750Li.

All I can say is WOW!!! I prefer my e90 in terms of driver feel and sportiness but the 750 has so many options. the idrive is SOOOO much more complex than the one we have on our 3-series but it's much more responsive (just like any closed system should be) and the graphics are amazing. It took me a long time to figure out how to enter a destination...

Oh and the torque from that V8

Nice. Glad to see they are taking care of things. Is the 5 a car on the lot or someone else's personal vehicle.

the 5 looks like a car on the lot... it didn't have a licence plate.

I'm really liking this new dealership I am going to. They seemed to do whatever thay can do to make up for the accident.... nice change from the canadian dealership I'm used to.

Should maybe 335 qualify better for the 750 loaner?

I agree, a 335 would have been a better loaner for me but it's still cool to have the 750Li.

I just appreciate that they are trying to make it up to me (when they don't have to)... just a nice change...

I highly recommend BMW Cleveland and would have recommended them before this accident.

Sorry to hear about your car, and congrats on your loaner. How did they hit the e60 with your car? It rolled? 6 speed manual left in nuetral and rolled backward? Or were they driving recklessly and lost control? What happened?

Actually, yes, 325i is older and was the lowest priced entry BMW Sedan. But don't take it so personally. Every BMW owner has to start somewhere

The thing I don't understand is the 325 costs about as much as an Acura TL, the 335i costs about as much as an Acura RL, but people here get all butt hurt when the 335 is referred to as the superior model..there's a HUGE price difference. Get real people!

They claim that they engaged the hand brake but didn't put the car in gear. They that since the car was right out of the wash, that the brakes were wet and the car rolled. the parking lot is on an incline and the car rolled back about 30 feet...

From the amount of damage... I can't imagine the car rolling to fast.

I really want a 5 series loaner. A 7 series would be just as awesome. I really want to see what the whole fatcat CEO old white guy feeling is like. I'm 21, I have high hopes!

it is all about priorities...I'd rather take paid off 325 + no mortgage, than a 6.5% loan on 335 and 1500 mortgage (or rent) payment...

Then, two years from now...paid off M3...

and so on...

I guess someone above is right -- gotta start somewhere...

How about the 323, 320, 318, 316 found else where on the planet? Does that make them worthless?

The 325 has everything that most people would ever need and more.

BMW is not about pure power. it's about the overall driving experience.
the 325 is not fast, it's peppy but I love the car and it's a great first car. I was 22 when I bought it.

if you only power the go get a mustang or GTO....

3k is a huge price difference? You have an interesting definition of the word huge. Perhaps you think you have something else that's huge as well.
