Apple claims an initial 3 million will be produced for the launch. No doubt there will be a rush on them. For all the AT&T mobile customers out there, good luck getting through on any customer service line after June 29. There will be so many new customers calling with problems and new iPhone users calling with questions that you will be on hold until your next birthday.

If you are considering getting the iPhone I would wait at least 6 months to a year. Apple doesnt have a great track record with first gen products but they fix the bugs very fast. There will be bugs in Apples first cell phone product just as there were bugs in the first iPod that was replaced with a less buggy, upgraded second gen iPod after only 6 months. The Apple TV saw bug fixes and an upgraded just after release. Plus, Apple has already announced new features & a possible upgrade (rumor is more memory) for the iPhone to be added within a couple months of its release. Knowing this I am going to wait to see how the iPhone shakes out after 6 or 8 months.

Its sure to be a cool product but I need my cell phone to work as a phone first and foremost. I'll wait for the bug free & upgraded version - hopefully before the end of the year.

No one but upper level apple employees and AT&T managers have iphones more then likely..and the cheap one is 500..the 8GB one is 600...

- 3G

It's a god multimedia device but... look at the new nokia N95... I think I'll prefer to spend 500€ in the new nokia N95 than in the new Iphone.

Thanks to our deregulated phone market (pluses and minuses) we are still in the cell phone stone age over here in the US. :mad:

I'm looking at the iphone because I need a PDA/email checker, and it would be nice to have Video IPod for long flights. Also most of the current PDA phones suck ass.

Do you own one?? It is a GREAT product!! If you have alot of itunes content, or your computer is far from your best stereo it is a wonderful product...I have a macbook pro and a a mac pro, most of my music is on the mac pro, and It is not hooked up to the best sound system..works great for music, the video is respectable, pictures looks great, and the interface is kick ass like every other apple product, plus it is highly moddable!! ...don't trash a product unless you no what you are talking about!
