Missing my 335i..
Sacrificed my 335i so my wife doesn't have to drive stick...
And I landed on G37x...Car is ok. It's fully loaded but still feels cheap. I step on gas, there is huge hallow rpm increase without car accelerating... But when it accelerates, it's pretty good. But it doesn't have constant power bmw had... Everyday I get into this car, I don't feel anything. I give it regular gas. Oh boy, I can't wait to get back to bimmer. Just saying. |

The ZF auto in the 335i is a fantastic auto. Get one of those.
I don't understand all the poeple who get autos for their wives though. Do boobs make it hard to shift or something? My wife has been driving stick since she was 17. Besides- isn't this your daily driver? Let her run an auto in her own car. Last edited by carve; 01-20-2012 at 09:57 AM.. |

This my friend is the advantage of having down low TQ in a turbod motor... once you get into another NA 6 motor; you will be highly disappointed. A big V8 or turbod motors will be the only motors that will satisfy you from now on... I guarantee it.
I haven't driven a single NA motor smaller than a 5 liter V8 (in that price range) that satisfies me as much as my N54...

well the fact that you have an x model makes it all the worse due to drive train losses

I had my heart set on a G37 when I was looking for a new car. I had cash in hand, and was ready to drive it home, but after test driving one, I wasn't as impressed as I thought I was going to be. I test drove my 135 next and was sold.

That sucks. My wife drives my manual 335i just fine. She rev matches and occasionally double clutches too. I taught her how to use a clutch when we were first dating and she generally prefers it to automatic.

There are times when you sacrifice going to the bar with the boys to spend time with the wife and then there are times when you put your foot down and say no. THAT was the time to say no.
