I've had f-bodies (camaro's/firebird's) all my life. Right now I have a 2000 trans am. Now picture it being worthy of a magazine cover, not redneck worthy.

When I'm in the T/A, anybody in a BMW/Mercedes/Audi will look at me with a little disdain. Not every person, but younger guys who are obviously into cars.

When I'm in the 330, anybody in a mustang/camaro/rice burner looks at me like i've got my head up my a**.

What's up with that?? Very few people seem to just admire a nice car for what it is. I think Hondas/Acuras, etc are a joke. From the exhaust to the 15 second quarter mile's that they are so proud of. But I know they probably have alot of pride in them and they have hours of fun playing PS2 in them while parked in their parents garage.

The last bit of my rant: rear wheel drive muscle cars are fun!! No my T/A doesn't handle even close to the BMW. But it lays down fifty feet of rubber at will, will kick out the back end upon request and gets thumbs up from 7 year old to 70 year olds!! (I say this because I've seen alot of comments here about camaros/mustangs, etc...)

Not trying to start an argument in the least, just don't understand why car guys are not more "understanding" of other car guys.

Why are you worried about it? I've had all types of cars around me since I was 16, some mine some my parents. I had a 90 Wrangler and got comments on how cool/stupid/fun whatever that car was, oh and from 5-70 y/o(got ya by 2 years), I had a 2002 Celica GT-S, I heard sweet/rice/sharp/gay etc. from all different people. Now I'm 24 with a new 325i, now I put up with hearing that's yours?/how do you afford it/awsome ride/I want one etc.

My point is the comments/looks will never end. Everyone envy's, hates, or just respects other cars. You just have to put up with them.
