Smile Few Newb Questions on lenses

Trying to get into photography. ( had some fun in college ). Have a nikon d90 and looking for a new wide angle or fisheye to capture those really creative shots.

Any ideas for good lenses at a nice price. I see a lot of you guys capturing amazing photos of your cars so I wanted to ask.

Also, need a new tripod, any suggestions or should I just buy a cheap one.

Ok great, thanks for your input. They have kit for Nikon? I'll look into this. You have any images you took with this lens you could post?

Appreciate the info.

sorry, I'm a Canon guy... but I'm sure if you wait a bit the Nikon users will chime in.

Based on my friends and a lot of reviews on the internet, I really haven't heard any negatives about that lens.

I second this!

I am a Nikon guy and use it on my D90. Love the lens!

Don't overlook the Rokinon line of wide-angles/fisheyes. They're manual focus, but with the Roki 8mm fisheye, you set the aperture at f8 and *everything* in in focus at the infinity setting.
