wedding bands?
I'm looking for one now... so, I'm just wondering what you married guys wear (and recommend)?
Designer, traditional, contemporary? I know I don't want any stones in it; I want to keep it simple but still be somewhat fashionable. There are a lot of different metals to choose from (e.g., platinum, white gold, titanium, stainless steel, tungsten, cobalt). I know white gold scratches really easily, and platinum is damn expensive. Other than that, I'm a novice. I'm sure I'm over-thinking this.

platinum bands are more than acceptable.
And no, don't buy Tiffany. If everyone's got one, it's garbage.

Thanks Matt. I was looking at Scott Kay stuff before, but I'll look at these as well.

Yes, Unless you are getting married to another guy it shouldn't be a big deal Mine is white gold, my wife likes that I actually wear it. Other than that nobody else pays attention to it |

Consider your career as well, you might think not want Titanium if you work with your hands (ie. Construction). I picked Titanium due to the weight and I don't work with my hands.

Head over to Sheiban Jewelers in Strongsville. It's family owned and they only carry high quality jewelry. The owner is a friend of my parents. I'm friends with his kids who also work and run the stores. They're GIA certified so they know what they're talking about. They have two locations in Strongsville, one in the mall and one right on Pearl Road. Go to the one on Pearl Road. They have nicer jewelry there and that's where the owner and his kids work mostly. They're an honest and straight forward family. They will show you the quality of their jewelry compared to others and explain what you're paying for. PM me if you have any other questions.

I actually wear this one. Some don't like guys with diamonds, but I get alot of complements on it. I wanted something shiny too.

To the OP quit being a homo and just get a plain gold/whitegold/platinum band, a little wider than your wifes band. This is good sound man advice.

I wear a 6mm platinum comfort fit band with a bright polished finish. Believe it or not, with the price of platinum the way it is, my band actually cost more than my wife's, which is platinum with 36 diamonds (size 4.5). It's always been a joke to me that guys spend enough to buy a car on an engagement ring and the guy ends up getting a washer from a urinal.

I really like mine and have gotten lots of compliments on it.
Mine is Tungsten, the metal is brushed in the center, almost to the edges, but about 2mm from each edge it slants down on a 45 degree angle to a comfort fit. The 2mm on each side is NOT brushed, rather its polished to a mirror like finish so it flashes a little and catches the eye. Tungsten is heavy though - I happen to like that, but its not for everyone. |

Platinum is also pretty heavy. When you get a gold band, you're getting 50% gold and the rest is brass and other metals. Platinum bands are typically 95%+ platinum which is why they're more expensive despite the price of each metal being nearly even.
Something to think about with the tungsten carbide bands is that I'm pretty sure they can't be sized and if you get into an accident, they have to break it off and you have to get a new one.

Here's mine... on my extremely white hand. I'm in shock at how light my complexion is... I just spent 2 weeks in Hawaii and I look like someone confiscated my melanin on the flight home.

My ring is palladium. About as expensive as platinum but stronger.
Stay away from the cobalt and tungsten rings. They're cheap and crazy strong but here is the downside. Ever break your ring finger or get the ring stuck on. There is no easy trip to the jewelers to get it cut off. You have to have firemen spot hit it with liquid nitrogen and smack it off with a chisel and hammer. No thanks.
