This could be the 1-series M1 coupe expected to debut around mid-2008. It will sport with S54 3.2L I-6 engine from E46 M3. Power output should be the same 343hp, 0-62mph 5.2 sec, top speed 175mph.

Erm, lighter than an M3 and more power but it's a few tenths slower? I don't think so.
