How does this guy pull it off at the last moment? He must have grabbed traction for a split second and immediately turned.

Looks like he was going to barely clip the other car if he continued to go straight, just clip the corner of the bumper. When he landed, the front wheels were turned, he was able to get it to turn just enough to clear it.


Also, you can see the scrape of the car in the pavement, not sure if that helped him turn or slow him down just enough to help the turn. Very lucky regardless.

It's like Mario brothers where you can make corrections to your trajectory while jumping in the air. Happens all the time in real life.

Seriously though, I think the camera angle is playing tricks. Like the above poster said, he was "barely" going to clip it anyway.
