Looks like it was an AW 335i E92 without sport package.

Sad...

I predict this thread will go in the 'reckless, underserving and irresponsible teenagers and high-powered cars' direction.

Very sad. The car seems to have disintegrated. Young kids, too much speed-how tragically unfortunate.

Did you see the instrument cluster just sitting on the ground.... Those are some of the worst, maybe the worst, accident pictures I've ever seen on public roads.

so tragic... the northern state is way to curvy and infested with potholes for them to go so fast.. and in the area of the crash i think it goes from being 3 lanes to 2 lanes.

He was being sarcastic because thats where every thread about a BMW being wrecked goes, and boy does it get old.

Parents need to be very careful about whom they will give a fast car... or any car at all. I can't imagine the guilt they must feel for their role in this.

You beat me to the post.

Looks like an e92 to me as well. I live on long island and that parkway can be pretty dangerous at high speeds.

That's inevitable... but not wholly unwarranted. I will admit that I reached an opinion the minute I saw the photos and the driver/passenger information.

+1,000,000 - that was my comment on another thread regarding this accident.

The passenger made a choice to get into the car, and had perhaps an opportunity to either encourage or discourage the driving speed. Some innocent family in a minivan would not have had that chance - and that happens all too often. Good that the tree was there to prevent possible additional victims.

You and I are walking down the street, when you say "Let's go into this bar. I'm going to pick a fight and kick everyone's ass in there." So I walk in with you and stand next to you while you make your "who's the *** that owns the Harley I just kicked over outside?" remark... later, while I am nursing my bleeding face... am I an innocent passenger? Not entirely.

This thread reminds of of the teenage girl who stole her fathers 911 at halloween 06. The only difference is there are no grizzly pictures to haunt the families.
