NWS: "Forrest Gump" moments and much more
How about some "Forrest Gump" moments?
Put yourself, your car, somebody you know, your pet, somebody you love or hate Photoshopped into some other scene. Try to keep it funny, provocative, tittilating, or just wacky.

I thought of this because HarjotM seems to be tiring of the attention he is getting in his thread alright! its here, now WHAT!
It'll take me some time to come up with something, but here is one scene from Forrest Gump (definitely not one of the better ones from the movie, but one I found quickly with a google search:

So, I've come up with no less than 12 good ideas so far. All of them include my 335i.
It takes me a while to make it a good chop. Maybe I could make a couple of them a day. I hope somebody else is making some, too. This would get boring (for me at least) if I go it alone. BTW: My next one will probably be not work safe. I see that a thread title should have NWS at the beginning. I can change the title, but it will not show that way until you open the thread. How can we get "NWS" added to the thread title? |

We had a great party last weekend. It was in honor of my BMW 335i Coupe. BMW is the best! But of course, everybody here knows that.
On the way there, we stopped for a few minutes to stretch our legs. I'll put up a picture from the party soon.

It was an incridible party! Everybody really liked my car.
It'll be great to go again. That'll probably be when it's in honor of my buddies E92 M3 next year. |

I went for a nice drive in the snow. And it was COLD! My E92 didn't do so great on the the summer runflats. This trip was before my BMW Style 188 rims and Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 tires had arrived.

I took my family to the beach since it was such a beautiful day. Wow! It was 85 degrees in April. You have got to love the global warming.
There was another BMW 335i Coupe there. It was nearly identical to mine. Well, except the window tint (I haven't had mine tinted yet.) And the leather was black, but mine is cream beige. I wonder if this guy is an e90post member. Here's a photo of his car from the beach: |

How'd he get that rig onto the beach without treadmarks in the sand?

When the tide has gone out, sometime afterward when the sand is not too soggy, it is really firm. When not accelerating and only lightly braking, there might not be much in the way of tracks on the sand. I wonder how he fared when he tried to leave. He probabl dug some trenches from all the wheelspin.

I washed my car and decided to take some pictures. So I went up to the Boise Depot where I have taken pictures before, but this time I would use the evening sun with the city in the background.
Everything looks best when the sun is low. Never shoot at noon, if you can help it. Since you all have seen just about every angle you can photograph a BMW 335i Coupe, I thought I would post at least one you haven't seen. My wife and her girlfriend wanted to go along. They had nothing better to do. It was hot today, at about 90 degrees. It's a little windy at the Boise Depot, but at 90 degrees the wind doesn't really help to cool you down. I set up my tripod and started shooting. I hadn't intended to take many pictures because I already have so many, but I wanted to see if I could get at least one good shot. It turns out I succeeded in getting several excellent shots. The one I decided to post tonight is one with my wife's girlfriend, Jessica. Neither she, nor my wife care to be in pictures, so this one I shot when the girls were getting hot in the car, waiting for me to finish the photoshoot. They had some plans for tonight. Somewhere they wanted me to take them. Anyway, Jessica was last out and I figured I would shoot a picture of her since I have never taken any of her. She wasn't too thrilled about it. She nearly got hold of my camera. I would have been pissed if she had stolem my SD card out of it, or deleted my pictures. I kept it from her. You can download the full-size (2617x1963 3,646 kb) picture here: Jessica Jessica at the Boise Depot with my BMW 335i Coupe E92

I hate it trying to find a good parking space at work!
I have been parking in about the furthest spot away from the building. It is at the far edge of the parking lot. Sometimes the lot doesn't get quite full and my car will be by itself for part of the day. There is a short sidewalk leading to the parking lot with a yellow striped zone where there would be room for little more than half of a space for a car. I have been parking as close to that edge of the yellow line, or even up to a foot over the yellow line. The car nearest me would be to my left. Since most people don't bring a passenger to work, it is very unlikely that anybody would give my car a door ding. Although this is the longest walk to the building I can find, it seemed to be a great parking spot... until today. The lawn sprinklers were activated and the overspray rained on the front end of my car. The water spots were really bad. Using the windsheld washers didn't even remove them from the windshield. I'll have to find a different parking spot. I washed my car. With a little help from my neighbor, it's looking pretty clean now! The full size picture is 1648x1240 pixels and can be downloaded here. Finishing up the tires and wheels cleaning after washing my BMW 335i Coupe E92

We and the neighbors spent the evening at the beach, watching the sun go down, while sipping Margaritas.
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo. Now, I hear that it is not the observance of Mexico's Independence Day as I had always heard it before. That is another date. I found a couple little articles. http://www.vivacincodemayo.org/history.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinco_de_Mayo. Happy Cinco de Mayo! (Just realized it is after midnight.) |

It was such a nice weekend to go for a drive. We went to the coast with a couple friends. It was a hazy sky, but still warm, and no wind. Just perfect weather.
We went to an air museum, saw some light houses, shopping at Seaside... I was shooting photos of an old locomotive when another vistor's dog showed up. He was friendly, but a bit annoying. It was tough to get rid of him. He wouldn't leave until he got kicked in the head. I took one picture of this dog. What breed is it? Here's a link to the full size picture (3024x2052) for you if the one here is not big enough to be able to tell. |
