Some of that is pretty cool but, if you are oblivious enough to not see things like an oncoming vehicle out of the windshield or an emergency vehicle with flashing lights and sirens is a little light in the dash really going to get your attention?
I do like the warnings for congestion around blind turns and debris in the road though. There are a few interchanges around here that would be really useful for. |

Seems good, but some things might not work in the real life.
What if someone wants to try to run the yellow light? The car will brake and the person will want to accelerate. Who wins?

This would only work between other BMWs on the road?

Yeah that's the impression I got from the video also. Only works around other BMWs with the same built in tech. Maybe it's all part of BMW's master plan to populate the world's roads with BMWs Hehe

I don't really like all these new features "helping" too much the drivers...one day people will forget how to drive really without any virtual assistance. We are already seeing a lot of problems (and car accidents) with all the GPS driving. Drivers focus to much on the screens and do not really focus on the real things...the road.

emergency vehicle light is a little useless imo because usually they have their sirens on and are pretty noticable...especially when the police roll up behind you to give you a ticket...you dont need your car telling you you got a ticket...next thing you know a face pops up on your navi laughing at you
doubt it, the other cars looked to be different makes especially when the f10 almost smashed into the car in front of it

If BMW put this in all of there cars with no way of turning it off I would never buy another BMW again. Other than a couple of trivial features this seems mostly like a novelty. If you're not paying attention to lights, intersections, emergency vehicles, etc. you shouldn't be driving to begin with, period.

The left turn alert was kinda useless, probably useful when there's heavy fog.

That's really nifty...the problem with this is...how often is there going to be a BMW in front of you to relay all this info to you? Not everyone can afford a BMW. The tech that is used is shown with a BMW motorcycle and a BMW vehicle. I would of been impressed if these systems worked if it detected any car or bike coming.

It's all technology that is being incubated for automatically driven cars. We are just the human guinea pigs. We won't be needed anymore, except for one thing. We will be needed only to make the initial purchase. Just watch out for the synthetic brain pulse generators embedded in our heads. It will make us walk to a BMW vending machine to buy the next Bavarian Transport Platform. Beware of the man, wearing the BMW lab coat, approaching your newborn child with a shot of blue and white, liquid intent!
Save the steering wheel from your child's Fisher Price push car. It's the only thing you will have to use to pretend you are actually driving your future BTP from BMW.

Just let me drive already. Some of this is just getting to be a bit to much. If you are to dumb to pay attention while you are driving then maybe you shouldn't be driving.
