small, fun boats - what companies to look at?
Just want to check out some boats, no idea where to start though. Anybody know their boat companies here?
Looking for some competition in this range: http://www.nautique.com/models/sport-nautique-200/ You know, cool: looks good, speakers, space for da honeys, etc. Just saw one of those^ out on the beautiful mediterranean water, music blasting, people chilling; it made me want to get a boat (fine honeys incl. on the bow ) some shoddy pictures for your meager entertainment

That's a $60,000+ wakeboarding boat. Not exactly in the 'small and fun' category. Do you board?
Well if you're looking in that category either way, you can look up Malibu, Tige, Mastercraft, Supra, Axis, Moomba. All inboard wake boats...expensive but badass. You gotta know why you want the boat before you start shopping. If all you want is a nice looking boat to chill on, you don't really need a wake boat. |

Unless you're a pro wake boarder, 60k for a boat is dumb.
edit: looks like majority of boats with a tower and speakers will be 40k and up, didn't realize they were that expensive. But Mastercraft, Malibu are great boats. The boat you posted isnt needed unless you are a VERY serious wake boarder, MC and Malibu will be your best bet. Also, buy a boat in an area that the boats wouldnt have been beaten to death(preferably a place that has a lot of lakes). My city actually is one of the biggest wakeboarding cities in the country because of our lakes. Mastercraft owner lives here, and Malibu CEO as well. Buy in the winter as well, when they are harder to sell.

You might just want to buy a outboard boat and put a tower on it, you are paying for the demand of wakeboard boats.
My dad has a Byant and it is very nice, it has a 350 motor in it and it was about half the price of those wake boats. Plenty of room, very powerful, kind of like a BMW of boats. Comfort yet you can play with it, get something like that and throw a tower on it for speakers and you'll have a nice boat that can do multiple things. something like this, you also might want to get one with one of those decks on the back, makes getting in and out of the water much easier

Never own a boat, have a friend that owns a boat.
Watercraft are one of the most unreliable pieces of equipment around. And probably the biggest money pit too. Had a few Jetskis and THEY DO BREAK WHILE SITTING THERE lol. And if you are talking saltwater watercraft...F THAT SHIT. unless you light your cigars with $100s. Fun, comes with a much bigger price here, miiipilot

What's your budget and what type of boating are you into? Back about 10 years ago, Powerquest boats were awesome. But they recently closed their doors. Find a used one. An awesome lake boat. Hull absorbs a lot of chop from Erie waters.

Oh yeah...and never forget your battery on the ON position when you dock it overnight, or you might get a call from the fire department at 2am telling you that your boat is on fire like what happened to me

I don't wakeboard, but these are by far the most bad ass boats (ones with towers and speakers on the towers). Quote:
the pictures are of a super air nautique 230, 96k with adjustable wake and stuff that I really dont need, so posted a link to the 'cheaper' one without those features that still looks good. I don't wakeboard, but these boats look too sick Quote:
YESSS (except maybe a little younger...) Quote:

SeaRay would be a great option. You can make it look almost like a wake boat, tower speakers and whatnot. Chicks won't know the difference, and if you don't board you wont either.
The world doesn't need another rich fool with a sick ass wake boat that never boards behind it. Please, not another one. |

If I were YOU, I would buy a Baja, guaranteed to make the whole lake look at you when they hear those 2 V8's rumble by.
