The new A5/S5 does look great, but it looks awfully similar to the e92. If it's a toss-up, I'll always end up with the BMW I do like it though!

happen = be succesful or be manufactured?
like ^^ said... it's already being made... i dunno what your thinking ... but yeah i haven't heard as much hype about the a5... so i don't know how successful it will be. at least with the bmw, following the intro of the e90, everybody was wondering how the coupe would change in the new gen.

audi's are bad with reliability and please don't compare them to sacred things like bmws.
(i own both but can't wait till it's only bmw's in my garage)

Trust me, you'll be much happier in a 335i, here's why...
It's funny how BMW is utilizing Audi's philosophy...small displacement engines with turbos = excellent performance and economy (and relatively cheap tunability to boot). I am surprised that the A5 won't be offered with a 2.0T as the base engine in the NA market (it gets a 3.1 V6). Even though the S5 is much more money, it still won't be able to run with the 335i. (estimated 0-60 times for the S5 fall in the 5.0 sec category) This makes a 335i the best bang for your buck at this price point, and audi simply cannot compete (even though the A5/S5 designs are gorgeous) The upcoming RS5 however.... (i know...it'll be really expensive and still just be able to run with a tuned 335i)

Nice photoshop... shame about the car
If they make an A5 that looks exactly like that I'll be the first in line... to see it try and make a turn or get over a speedbump The standard A5 pics doing the rounds look great, but given friends experiences of reliability and local dealer service I won't be going there soon.

I'm a big Audi fan, but they have GOT to cure that front weight front drive bias before I'll buy another one. If they can do 50/50 on the weight, or close, and then do a 70% rear bias on the AWD, I'd gladly move over to Audi (again). |
