why? I understand the choice of the 24-70, it is a nice piece, but the 135 shoots really hard to beat shots....

never used it since i got the 70-200 mk II.

now I have 17-40, 24-70, 70-200. All I need a 300 f2.8L IS and a couple of converters and I'm pretty much good to go.

I just did a small shoot today, and i stuck the 135 on my 5DmkII and i stuck the 70-200 IS on my 7D it's interesting to see the differences. I like how both lenses work, but i find the 135 has a bit more of an older picture feel to it. and way more control to the DoF. The 70-200 was getting really vivid colours and sometimes better exposures. However, i'm more used to shooting the 70-200 as the 135 is still my newest lens and i'm learning my way about it.

Both great choices. Enjoy the 24-70, I started using that when i moved my shoot inside. Just wish i had some lamps to provide better lighting.

You should make the comparison between the 135mm and the 70-200 you have on the same camera, same location/lighting, same settings, etc and see what you get. I've heard the 135mm has an unmatched IQ.
