Long story short.

I got my 3GS warranty replaced 4 months ago due to the OS being a glitchy piece of garbage.

Last night, my phone gave me the 10% warning, so I plugged it in. 10 minutes later it dies, so I try a different outlet, the charging screen comes up so i left it.

This morning it was dead. I was peeved to say the least.

So I put it into my speaker dock...no charge

I then go downstairs and put it into my computer. The charging screen comes up, two hours later it hasnt charged a bit and the screen is still up.

Its a 4 month old phone. Seiously? and now im assuming that the battery is shot and isnt taking a charge.

I hate this phone with a firey passion, its been nothing but a problem since september.

depends on who's crappy phone you're running it on. Samsung's stupid interface kills android.

Nexus S though for example where it's pure android is much better

i have a g2x right now.

to top it off the battery life on this thing is atrocious .

I'm pretty sure his complaint is with a 3GS. Definitely not the first complaint I've heard about the 3GS becoming useless

my first brand new iphone 3g had a bad battery right from the store. They replaced the phone with a refurbished one after 5 days of owning it. So much for getting a new phone!

As for Android, every model is different. I had a samsung captivate which was replaced 3 times - a POS. Then I moved over to the Droid X, couldn't be happier. Just received the latest Gingerbread update and the battery is amazing now. I had 50% charge left after 23 hours of unplugging from charger. Droid X is a solid phone.

Yes its 3GS. Its my third one in 16 months. They ll keep glitching out nd becoming useless.

I hate that I now have to go to the apple store. Ill tell you how my convo with the genious will go.

correction, 4g on verizon is stupid fast. on sprint it's just fast, jury is still out on att.

Are you unlocking/hacking the phone? I'm pretty sure your running the latest iOS software on the 3GS. Simply put, the 3GS doesn't have the power of the iPhone 4. iPhone 5 is coming out in a few months. Your almost 2 generations behind.
Anyways android seems just as capable, if not better, than iOS. iOS 5 is just sweet though

And yet some people have the nerve to curse me out when I say the Droid X eats the iPhone and its pathetic to own one because Apple just pwnd you.

They yell, they argue, but 4-5 months later an apology comes along as well as questions about my insurance for the droid and verizons awesome service.

i need to add that i had 0 problems with my i4

so far with my android powered device i have

bluetooth issues
freezing screen
screen bleed
random reboots
alarm issues
unable to receive texts until i reboot
refuses to make calls until i reboot

theres more but i forget.

If my company wasnt paying for this god forsaken phone id be back on att with my iphone.

had iphone for a little over a year before I finally ditched it. Now I have a blackberry and a droid. Prefer the blackberry. YMMV. CSB

The only phone I would ever consider other than my iPhone 4 (which has been nothing short of perfect, with and without the jailbreak) would be a Nexus S.
