anyone have a new golf tdi?

thinking of getting a TDI to take to college (TCU) instead of the 1er. Considering ill be driving from CA to TX a few times a year. Anyone have a golf TDI or know of the tuning capabilities? id much rather beat around a vdub than my 1er.

If the older golf TDI's are any sort of indicator then they respond pretty well to tuning.

My friend had one back in college and it pulled like a freight train and got awesome gas mileage... It'd be a pretty sweet ride for college in my mind. Save some money... and have goodish performance.

the tdi is great but a lot of vibration comes in to the cabin. i would get a used A3 TDI before a new Golf TDI

...off topic but damn you students are balling out of control a 1er is not enough now a brand new mk6 tdi as a beater. Not hatin but damn....I used to be the shiznit in my b18 civic back then among sunfires and mazda protege at school days have changed I guess. Don't buy a tdi to mod leave it stock you'll avoid problems and you'll save $ money for gas and potential problems but being honest just pick up a regular golf 2.5 because the tdi is way more exepensive.
