living in SoCal we never have to think about dealing with this kind of stuff but do people have insurance for that?

yah some people here have insurance against nature disasters.

my cuzn had a VW golf and long time ago it rained and the garage top fell on it, the insurance paid for the whole damage...

the car went off, but the battery was still working, that's why the blinkers and wipers are still working...

that was just next to my family's house, and my cuzn took the shot
