Saw the midnight screening of this movie and it was kickass! Dont expect amazing performances from the actresses but expect some great action and some badass music.
Anyone else see the midnight showing?

Looks like a decent pop corn flick. I'll try to catch it this weekend.

Step brother was an Associate Producer on it. He was on the 300 team as well, which kicked ass. Then, on The Watchmen, which didn't. So I'm holding off seeing this until I get enough feedback about whether or not it's a complete waste of time to go see it in the theaters.

I actually liked Watchmen...

It wasn't as action packed as I think people were thinking it would be, which is why it didn't do so well. It was more of a drama, which I personally thought was kind of cool... *shrug*

Yeah I was put off by my own expectations of it I guess. And I had a lot of hope (probably way too much) that it would be as badass as 300 (or at least almost as badass). It was not.

I saw the midnight showing last night, it wasn't that bad. I liked the fact that it wasn't a linear plot and the visuals were amazing. It was definitely a guys movie but it was a lot darker than I expected.

POSSIBLE SPOILER:

The only downside is that I kept searching for deeper meanings during her dances when there obviously were none.

I can probably count on 1 hand the amount of movies as or more badass than 300

This was not as badass as 300, but it was a lot better than Watchmen. Also a ton better than Tron.

Watched it last night on imax. It is def worth watching but it ia not gonna blow you away. The visuals are almost as good as 300. I especially like the sort of anime look to it and the mix of modern-day and fantasy era themes. But the storyline is a bit flat and the ending was pretty weak. I think sucker punch is kinda handicapped by the fact that it is rated pg-13. Still a decent way to spend an evening.
