What a lens.

And without a hood and the sun in the image, I had just the tiniest bit of flare which was a snap to remove.

That's the thing about it being so damn flat here. The sky seems enormous. Yesterday with the clouds and the blue sky, it was good to get as much as possible in the pic. When the sky is flat gray, it sux trying to keep from overwhelming the image with the dullness of it.

Very nice, I love wide - here's some from my Sigma 8-16 at 8mm on a Nikon D200. Utterly delighted with it and lots cheaper than anything comparable from Nikon.

No, actually that was just the result of doing the PP on my laptop. The laptop screen is really bright and whenever I think something looks good on the laptop, it always is too dark on any other screen.

I have a CPL for my 55-250mm, but not for the 10-22mm. I'll look for an ND and a GND for that, though, as I'll probably be shooting a lot of pics with a horizon.

Great shots. Are they full frame or crop-sensor.

I'm jonesing for Canon's new EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens. Hopefully the earthquake and tsunami want delay it too, too long. My 24-105mm is great on my full-frame 5D MkII, but even wider looks mighty good. That's a whole new perspective.

I have the 16-35 to compliment my 24-70. that extra bit of wide angle is a huge difference on the 5D I can only imagine what the 8-15 will do....

the 16-37 is on my 5D a majority of the time now. I don`t find i need to be much closer then 35mm ever anymore. Took some getting used to.

love the extra exposier i can get with the wide angle too.

this is probably about a 17 crop factor because it was a little crooked, and i fixed that issue.

to those out there with crop bodies, this would be equivilent to you shooting 10-11mm

I had a 10-22 a few years back when I had a 20D.. i used it on my 5D for a while as well until I bought a 17-40.. It will work on the 5D if you yank the black plastic ring out (takes like 2 secs).. and it snaps back in like it was meant to come out lulz.. It worked down to 14mm, below that and it would start to vignette. i wish I had kept it because I could sure use it now for rig shots with my Sony NEX-5 without risking damage to my mofo cameras..

I played around with that on my buddy's 10-22, made for some interesting effects. I found the corners actually went black and the pictures started to turn into a circle.

It's because of the crop factor difference... basically went to general super-wide-angle lens to a fisheye. Same thing happens with the new EF 8-15mm f/4L lens.
