Do you like the new style of Top Gear shows?

I personally like it.

And by new style, I'm talking about how they have some challenge or another every week, not like 3x a season like they used to. Of course this leaves only 1 or 2 car reviews per show, but has made the show even funnier than it was before. I never stopped laughing through the tractor part of the show.

Bear in Mind that the Hamster is not back up to full strength and a lot of the challenges/road trips were filmed before his accident. There was a large period before this last series where they were in stasis when it came to filming material about more recent car releases.

I would wager that the balance of content will return to that previously - features and actual car reviews/road tests.

5th Gear has a different style. They do to-the-point car reviews. Not comical ones. Of course it's not as entertaining, but I think the drivers on 5th gear, especially Tiff, are a hundred times better at driving than the Top Gear guys. And Tiff is clearly the best drifter so that's fun to watch.

Yea that limo challenge was hilarious. I want a Riced out Sport convertible limo...but only if it has a full top w/ HVAC. A topless limo in Britain where it rains all the time. lol wtf was he thinking?

Well, they should be better since Tiff, Vicky and Jason all raced professionally at some point.

The problem with Fifth Gear is that it competes with Top Gear. It is overshadowed by one of the best programs of any genre on TV in the world.

sometimes it's 6 sometimes it's more. i think series 7 was 6 episodes too.
yes fifth gear is a more techincal show but they never really do anything interesting such as top gear's challenges.

My favorite season was the one that started in 2004. They tested the best bunch of cars I have ever seen on a TV show, and made it really entertaining...

Last season, they had a few interesting cars as well, but not as good as the 2004 season.

This season, they only really tested 3 cars. LP640, Audi TT and the Mustang GT500. Im sorry, but thats pretty pathetic. Yes, the hamster is probably taking it easy, but this season was not that good.

I liked the challenge every once in a while, but when a show like this reverts to doing these challenges weekly, you have to think that there is absolutely nothing out there for them to test (which is a crock of crap). This season has made me yawn more than any other...

I think it's good to see both show's opinons on cars, given they both drive the car.

Tiff usually hates the cars Jezza likes, and vice versa.
