the first i've seen was the Audi S8. a little too "chrome" for me. i don't even like my wheels to be chrome.
THis page explains the process at the bottom of the page: http://www.snopes.com/photos/automobiles/silveraudi.asp |

This link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38407 is the first thread on this. There is a link to the magazine article with a full spread of pictures and info about how it was done.
When I first saw this months ago, I thought it was kinda cool. But NOOO! It really ruined a good car. I heard that the M3 guy in Toronto repainted it since then. |

I thought it was a about $15,000 Canadian for the painter to get trained in Italy, and then do the job.

later in the article third page in the drivers spec box it says 200,000 all together including superchargers and rims and all the other things he has added... still doesn't make any sense to me how someone can do that. I guess its just because he can?

Well if you want to be unique...and you have the money...all the power to you I guess.
I'm still pretty happy with my pretty much bone stock 325i. But then again, if I had the money (and a kit was available), I'd probably supercharge my car. Although...probably not chrome it tho. |
