Robert Kubica out with injury
Kubica broke an arm and leg while participating in a rally race in Italy. He will be replaced by either Senna or Grosjean

That sucks, this was promising to be a very good year for him. On the other hand, it may be Senna's golden chance to be behind the wheel of a good car.

The irony, F1 Racing Magazine just had an article talked about Kubica's "the other car"...his Renault rally car....and interview about his thought about taking on two racing series...
and this happens....Eric Boullier won't be too happy about his race drivers going on various sports other than Formula 1... wish him a speedy recovery....he's one of the key players who brought Renault from scandal to a mid-field competitive team....and develop a car who is able to block Alonso for many laps...(also kudo to Petrov)...

And more than likely, Renault will contract Heidfeld or Hulkenberg before either Senna or Grosjean. |

On German TV they are reporting he might loose his arm as well! Too bad. He really was hurt badly in this accident (left arm and leg/pelvis). No wonder the car looks as bad as it does.

no!!! get better RK. i have always liked Robert and the way that he handled himself, just seems like a good guy. i was at the F1 race in Montreal when he had that horrific crash and just had a slight ankle injury, when i thought that he might have died or lost his legs that were sticking out from the wreckage.
It is surprising that he would be driving right now, during the beginning of testing and preparation for the upcoming season. |

7 hours hand surgery -- this is def gonna take 1 year to recover
There goes my season -- at least he's alive BTW, I've seen better built race cages in "amateur" racing then what was in that Skoda -- unfknbelievable. I blame Robert for taking this venture risk .... A guy that gets paid $10 million per year to race the fastest cars in the world ...and he wants to fck around in Rally = dumb - just plain dumb He was also fastest of the 1st 3-Day Testing Weekend in Valencia last week. |

Here's some info over @ Autosport: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89315 One of the reports is that the hand is responding well to stimulus and is warm. Both good signs for the hand healing. Also, here's a video of the rally car just after him, it shows the accident site: Click this to see, I don't want to just put it up

Ok, now that I'm a little calmer. Picking Senna would be a serious error. Hulk is the obvious choice for this and a no brainer in my opinion.
Get better soon Kubi... you're my favorite driver!
