Say hello to our new pet Coatimundi!! His name is Ralph

We just got another Coatimundi about a month ago. They are a south american racoon thingy. We had one for 3 years but he died one night all the sudden. They are supposed to live 15 years or more.

Ralph is the coolest pet i have ever had, he is super smart and playfull.

He was embarrased in this pic

THIS WAS WALDO out first coati
Poor guy, i was a total mess when he died, so was my wife, she bottle raised him from 5 weeks old

Do they have claws for climbing?

What do they typically eat?

Can you litter train them?

I saw those wild when I was in Argentina (Iguazu). People were pretty afraid of them there

That said, it looks like an adorable pet.

When full grown they get to about 20-25 lbs. They are like having a 2 year old around all the time. Super nosey and always wanting to play.

We got a kitten at the same time so they can play and grow together, and they get along great and love each other.

They just take the Baby fangs out, he will have adult fangs when he is about a year old. And i really dont see it as being cruel at all. he has a 100x better life than he would in the wild and does not know any different.

At one point dogs and cats were all wild , so dont give me that Wild animal crap.

I don't think you should be feeding him random foods... That's probably why the first one pass away so quick...
