Another here are pics from my trip....

This trip was up and down the coast of California.

Started in San Diego and took the 1 up to San Francisco. Then took the 101 up to Ferndale. came down the lost coast to the Humbolt Redwoods. took the Ave. of the Giants south towards Vichy Springs. Then the 1 back to San Francisco. Then my wife did the San Francisco Triathlon @ Alcatraz.

It was an awesome trip for a FL boy. Grown up on the coast, but nothing like the west coast.

Some of my favs below and the whole series is here. Actually still have a bunch to process and upload....

I suppose since this is a car forum and i'm posting pics of a road trip i should mention that we rented a G37x. it was a great car considering the alternatives. 328hp 269tq got the job done. handled fairly well; it was limited by the all season crap tires that were on it. but i was happy with it. Comfortable, decent MPG, fairly smart auto slushbox. by the 3rd day in the hills i was getting accustomed to the gearbox and was able to predict and manipulate it so that it would do what i wanted.

I would have rather had my car for all the PCH & 101 driving, but my car wouldn't have made it up 60% of the driveways and parking lot culverts. Not to mention that the small twisty roads connecting the 101 and the 1 were hella bumppy and potholed up. Was happy to be in a rental on those roads.

I love the panos. By the way, I remember seeing your car a while back going south on Dale Mabry just before Linebaugh. Needless to say I almost nailed the car ahead of me while I was craning my neck to keep staring at it

I knew those places look familiar. I had to scroll up just to read where it was located at.

Btw, where is the bridge located? Looks very familiar but can't remember on top of my head.

Yeah, not so fun to make all the time. None of these "stitched up" very well. Lots of PS. I love panoramic images though. They can convey so much more than the standard frame size.

Thanks! I was probably doing the same if you were driving your E46. I saw more M3 during the week i was in Cali than i see in about 3 months of everyday driving in Tampa.

It's Bixby Bridge. Located between Carmel and Big Sur. There are two of them. That one is larger and has the good setting sun light.

Right.... I didn't know what it was at the time, i just knew it was friggin awesome sitting out there in the bay. Especially with the hatch up collecting or launching the shore craft.

Here is another. This one is made of 4 images. You can see the golden gate far left and the port far right.
