Flip Video Camcorder

With the baby on the way, I wanted to get a small cheap video camera, so I can send quick and easy videos to the grandparents

anyone have experience with the Flip series?

My friend has one. It's small, cheap and easy to use. Only 2 gripes about it. Not enough zoom and it's inability to take still shots. As long as you can work past not being able to take regular still pictures, I think it's a good buy.

my coworker is selling his if you're interested. he has the flip mino HD that records 2hrs. I have the flip ultra hd and i love it. My coworker got the iphone 4 so he's trying to sell his flip. I believe he's selling it for 140? He only has about 5 minutes of recording on it so it's practically brand new.

Not sure how much they go for new but if you're looking for a used one, 140 is a pretty good deal imo. PM me if you want more info.

He has the brushed metal one

I have been using the regular version of Flip for a few years. Still my favorite. Great and easy to use and picture quality is decent.

I thought about buying the HD version before reading reviews on Kodak Zi8. So I decided to buy that one instead. I regret the decision. It's not that good, ergonomically designed or intuitive. Picture quality although HD, is quite jittery and lifeless compared to Flip.

I am thinking of getting a Flip HD but like to try it first before dishing out another two Benji's. I do recommend their products based on my previous experience.

i have one, its really easy to use and quality is decent. i almost always have it with me because i record a lot of random things and love making videos
since its HD you might have to limit the time you record to like under a couple minutes if youre going to email it to the grandparents because the file can get pretty big
