Romantic Ideas

Because I suck at being romantic, what are some cute things I can do with my GF. We have been dating for 6 months tomorrow and looking for something nice to do.

I think im just going to do some flowers, dinner and champagne back at the house?

First off, if you're not romantic, I guarantee you this night isn't going to be romantic.

What I would do, if this was me, is tell my girlfriend that I'm actually not very good at planning romantic things. I'd tell her I don't have a very defined concept between "romantic" and "cheesy". However, I'd ask her to help me out in planning a romantic night for the both of us. Consider it a "relationship weekend project". Get her to share some ideas, and then tell her you're going to learn and try and plan one yourself in the future.

Next thing you know, she's telling her friends about this and they're all going like "Awwwww, that's so romantic of him!". Then PIITB.

If you are not creative, you will not succeed in being a Romeo

BUT, there is good news. Girls just want the guy to try, as long as she cares deeply about you and you do your best, she will love it

think about what she is passionate about, take her to the zoo or aquarium...something like that

In my experience (with 30 & 40 yr olds - been a while since I was with anything any younger )

Women like a guy to be spontaneous with romance. If you really want to make a hit, make plans on your own secretly to go to a private beach, or bed & breakfast in some place like Wine Country, and then just tell her one day that's where your taking her so it's a 'spur of the monent' kinda thing. Been there, done that, and they remember it FOREVER. Most romantic places are more private and don't necessarily have anything to do with a man's interests

All depends on your girl and what she likes. Some think it's romantic if you actually take them to a movie that you would normally NEVER go to - like Twilight Eclipse for example (I have experience with this one - yeeeuch now there was a snooza/paluza).

If she knows you well, anything you do with her (and do it with a good attitude like you're enjoying the hell out of it), that she likes, but knows you hate to do, works. Mostly because it shows her that you care enough.

Seems the older the woman, the more expensive the romantic adventure needs to be. And once you do something really great - the next time has to be even better. In the beginning, you can actually get away with just a romantic evening at home (if you do it rite - for some reason candles lit all over the room seem to get them going - just don't burn the house down, that's definitely a turn off)

Men are EZ with romance, we don't require exotic locations, long meaningful talks, walks on the beach, candles, etc. For us, romance is when the woman initiates sex instead of the guy...

Your goal is to make her melt like the wicked witch of the west in the wizard of oz. Get some water and splash her. If she doesn't melt you can romance her since you did the witch test and she passed. Basically if you aren't spontaneous you can appear to be spontaneous. Plan something but don't let her know and don't tell her you have a surprise for her. You have to target the surprise to things that she likes. Figure out what she likes, not what you like, or what you think she likes. Ask her friends, mom, her other boyfriend... Whatever it takes... You can also ask her what she finds romantic and pretend to hate it + insult her ideas jokingly. Now you know what she likes, it's time to deceive her by telling her you have something important to do one night and you need her to be there... build it up make sure she understand it's important. On your drive to this important event you act agitated, uncomfortable. Enough for her to ask you what's wrong. When she does you tell her you don't really want to go, she responds by saying I thought this was important to you. You tell her it is but "make up some BS excuse..." Now you say, "you know what, f*** it i'm not going. Turn around and as you're driving sitting silently while your girl is sort of in shock you tell her you know how you said you wanted to go to _________ let's go. She'll be like I thought you thought it was a stupid idea or you hated it. Just say I know, but I don't care I just want to clear my head... Make sure you planned it out ahead of time so if she does protest a little for whatever reason you have rebuttal. It's closed, we can't get a reservation, we don't have tickets... Get it all ahead of time and be like don't worry I'll figure it out, and magically you get it. Then go to whatever it was that she wanted to go/do. At this point she thinks you stood up for yourself and did what you wanted to do by not going to your event (you the man), next she thinks your spontaneous, finally you are being sweet by doing something she likes and you magically got sold out tickets or a table without an rsvp. There's more to it, but just an example or idea. I'm sure some of you might think what i'm saying is whack, but it works... Anyways, every girl/women is different, so you basically have to figure what is going to make her desperately want to jump your bones nonstop for the next week. It's all about building it up. Nothing more than emotional foreplay.

This is a couple days late, but oh well. Seeing you're also in Tallahassee, I know there isn't jack to do really. When it was my GF and I's anniversary I took her to Cypress for dinner and then had packed a suitcase with some clothes for her and I and took her on a surprise trip to St. George for the night. There was a pretty nice bed and breakfast as soon as you cross the bridge onto St. George (on the left across from the gas station). Walked the beach at sunset and hung out the next day.

My GF loves when I do REALLY romantic thing for her. I did this on our Anniversary. She was in D.R. with her family when she came back I picked her up from the airport, prior to that I set up a warm bubble bath filled with rose pedals, I put rose pedals all over the floor, and sink and toilet and side of tub, EVERYWHERE! I made sure the lights were off and lit about two candles. I got a bottle of champagne and some strawberries with chocolate for us to enjoy. After the bath we went to my room which I placed rose pedals all over the floor and bed, I put the rose pedals on my bed in the shape of a heart with some picture cut outs of us inside. I then gave her two roses and said heres one for my girlfriend and here's one for my best friend and gave her a nice card. She loved it and almost started crying from joy. Women like men who go out of their way to do creative things for them rather then take them to a nice restaurant and buy flowers, too cliche.

Take her to St. Augustine for a weekend? It's not that far of a drive from Tallahassee.

Yeah I'm either going to go to St. Augustine or Key Largo. This may come to a surprise to you seminole but she goes to UF and is Alberta, so I have to go pick that gator up, haha.

Not if you use them in a creative way. I could have easily just handed her the 2 dozen roses.
