September 2010 Changes for all BMW Models
Reported on BIMMERPOST HOMEPAGE.
All, I got this from my SA since I was about to order a car tonight. I thought I would pass this along. I apologize if this is old information but it seems to list all changes. Enjoy. [pdf]http://www.e90post.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=406769&d=1278946032[/pdf] |

Very good, so it seems it was more of a repackaging on the Ms as opposed to adding a bunch of new codes.

Interesting...
I think the only change that I would have appreciated when mine got built in April is the Connected Drive functionality (specifically the 6FL changes), but it's not something worth being bummed about that's for sure. They really should make this stuff retrofittable, I imagine there would be a good revenue stream from people who are willing to pay for the upgrades.

Yeah, I'm curious to know as well. This may be a retrofit path for me.

From what I can tell it is not just a software update. I've read on a bunch of other threads that you need other hardware items also. Hence the non retrofittable comment.

On the e46 M3s, the manual seat would go lower than the power version. I think it may have had more adjustment to the seat bottom rake as well. My manual e46 seats were more comfortable than my power e90 seats (FWIW). |

These new features are made possible by hardware advances and are not “retrofittable” to pre-September builds. |

Did the previous "Y-cable" for the iPod connector option have a 3.5mm minijack connector for non-Apple devices as well (ie. a standalone MP3 player or cellphone AUX out)? If so, I guess the new iPod integration gets rid of this?

Can someone explain this to me?
Wouldn't this take too much time to get the car moving ???
Automatic/Start Stop: A feature developed from BMW’s EfficientDynamics strategy that will shut down the engine under certain conditions when the vehicle comes to a complete stop. The benefit of this technology is reduced fuel consumption and the function can be switched on/off via a button located next to the Start/Stop button. |

old tech package now basically standard(reads like they pulled out the comfort access into the new tech package)? not sure how you would set the M button otherwise, guess it could be like a radio preset, configure your settings then hold the M button or use the trip computer.
manual seats sound nice, don't have to worry about the motors going out plus hopefully lose some weight. Edit: also special addition guys are not that special minus the paint |

But if you prefer power seats, you get them for free...
