What are your plans for it? I'm assuming you have plans, considering this is a "build" thread.
As much of a non-fan as I am of Mercs, AMG's make me giggle. EDIT: Guess you got that second post in before I posted mine.... Good stuff. |

congrats. my friends brother has an 06 he bought with 8k miles for about the same price. he turned it into an absoute stage 3 beast. his other brother has an m6 with some light mods and meistershaft exhaust and it smokes the m6. have fun.
my dad had an e55 and an e63. both were beasts but the e55 felt much faster. enjoy.

All expensive performance cars are now bargains.
Figure the 2006 E55 MSRP'd for $81k with an invoice price of $76k and when the E63 was just being introduced. You could have picked up a new one for below invoice back in 2006. A used 2007 997TT with only 9k on it now sells for $85k. The car sold nicely optioned for $130k MSRP just three years ago. 2005 Aston Martin DB9 sells now for $82k. Five years ago MSRP was $170k. If the economy was hopping and everybody had cash and easy credit, prices would still be up there. Now's the time to buy, but nobody wants to spend their cash. To the OP: great project, have fun with it! |

Kev, does Steve K. have the IWC Keyless Go shift knobs available or is this something you sourced yourself? (you should try to get the IWC dash clock, too

Very nice buy, these cars are such a steal lately. By the way I love the wood trim; I'd keep it there as it's a very rare sight in the W211 AMG's. Most of them have the black wood...
Can't wait to see more progress! |
