Strasburg is the TRUTH!
When I talk to my kids about the first time I saw Strasburg pitch in the major leagues I will tell them only this... In the second inning of the game Bob Costas had this to say, "That's just not fair. How is someone supposed to hit that curveball when they have to be prepared for a 100 mph fastball?"
If you have the MLB network, and you enjoy baseball. Take the opportunity to watch this kid. He is unbelievable. |

He isn't as good as everyone is saying he is, they are just blowing his cock for the fans to get publicity and viewers, as well as sell tickets...I've pitched my whole life and I could go head to head with him if I was still playing

you're joking right? I played baseball all my life as well, and it would take a seriously ignorant person to believe that making it to the majors and striking out 7 through 5 in their first career start isn't impressive. It sounds a lot like sour grapes too.

Wrong, he's that good. You should see the pros and scouts marvel at this guy. I used to see him pitch all the time.

Ive played my whole life including with and against guys in the pro's. Its one thing to get drafted, its a lot different to actually be pitching in the pro's, especially at his age. Although i think he is overrated too, (Joba did the same thing when he first came up and he sizzled out some) he should be a good pitcher once he matures.

Really makes you see how bad the pirates are. They looked so overmatched its a little embarrassing.
Id like to see this guy deal against the Yankees

i dont need a flameshit, he is a good pitcher but he ISNT what everyone is saying he is, and ive pitched against the best players in the country and i pitched just as good in college and in HS just not 100 mph, i know majors is a different story etc... but if i had went further and didnt give it up for the personal reason i did i could of probably made it, believe if you want you dont have too...but im 6 foot 7 and threw 92 when i was playing, with 4 different pitches and 3 different fastballs, but it doesnt matter noone on here will believe me

it was only documented me hitting 90+ in one tournament, the world wood bat championship in Jupiter FL, where i pitched against Rick porchello as he is my age, and a few other big leaguers, i didnt hit 90's until my senior year because i was so tall and didnt finish growing until about that age, i think my dad has the top velocity's in the tourney somewhere, but only people who paid for the membership to PG crosschecker could view their stuff, porchello hit 98 that day and scott boris signed him in the dugout, i unfortunately was a late bloomer and I got a lot of looks after that tourney but only got one serious offer from david jennings(google david jennings orioles) he is a scout for the orioles and got me a scholarship to the best juco in the state and i played for a year and walked away for personal reasons
