My KL Build
Background..well, I built a modest 10:1 n/a motor with a 55 shot, lost the oil pump with 12k miles on it. So I parted that motor and began researching and digging for information on my current project.
The current project is as follows: Wiseco 12:1 .020" overbore pistons SCAT 5.400" Ford Mustang Forged I-Beam Rods ARP2000 Hardware ARP Head Studs Tapped Millenia S Oil Pan Moroso Single Stage External Wet Sump Oil Pump Custom Engine Dampener Meziere 20 GPM Electric Water Pump 323 Manual Steering Rack Custom Tie Rod Ends I/O Custom Longtube Headers AWR Front/Rear Mounts Medieval Passenger Mount Mx3 Lower Trans Mount Custom Lower Cross Members Traction Bars Hayabusa ITBs HEAVILY Ported Heads Ferrea Valves (Std. Size) Mazda Motorsports Solid Lifters Interprep Valve Springs Custom Lash Caps Chromoly Retainers Custom Ground Cams: 250 deg @ .050" (actual duration) .385" Lift Intake/Exhaust Custom ITB Flanges Gear Based Direct Port Nitrous (75 1st Stg./100 2nd Stg.) Southbend OFE Stg. 4 Clutch (Full-Face) Fidanza 9lb. Flywheel Custom 3" Exhaust w/ Elec. Cutout Transmission PAR 2-4th Gearset Custom 1st gear (3.07 vs. 3.307) PAR Billet Cups MFactory LSD PAR 4.43 Final Drive Southbend OFE Stg. 4 Full Face Clutch Fidanza 9 lb. Flywheel Other Millenia S Two Piston Calipers 3000gt VR4 Rotors (12.2") Braided Lines (clutch/brakes) 1st Gen Probe Clutch Master Cylinder Anyways...here are some pics of some of the parts that are sitting around ITBs Interprep Springs Rods/Pistons (These are the old non-forged SCAT I-beams) Moroso External Oil Pump (Wet sump) Going in this: The car also just got (it no fun with FWD to just go straight!): AWR 19mm Rear Sway Bar Custom Tubular Rear Lower Control Arms w/ heim joints Custom Tubular Lateral Bars w/ heim joints AWR Rear Trailing Arms I have more parts sitting around, just no pics of them. I am about 2 weeks from getting the heads back and assembled. I have all of the parts for the heads and bottom-end aside from the cams..which should be here in the next couple of weeks. I am shooting for 12s n/a this season on a stock transmission and low 12s next season once I do a couple more things this winter such as COP conversion, have the longtubes built, finish the transmission build. And who knows where I will end up on the bottle, but I will not be putting that in until the winter either, though I do have most of the stuff I need already.

Nice man, yeah I'm fond of these cars. Like I mentioned in the other post I've owned 2 that were this body style. I never modded them as much as you have but I found them fun to drive and overall I think they're still cool looking cars. Thanks for the pics man!!!

Yeah..it was my first car, and I have really grown fond of it. It has been a little while coming on the build, and I am really anxious to get it up and going. It is something that has not ever been done before. I also used to have a pristine white '95 Probe GT 5-speed, but I sold it when I got the Maxima.
I agree though, they handle well, have nice lines, and sound good. It's a shame they gave it such a crappy name, lol. Perhaps then it would have gotten the aftermarket support it deserves.
